Traditionally blended to represent the 5 principal tastes, five spice is a blend of warm cinnamon and star anise, cool fennel (grown on Miles Away Farm) and clove, and the unique numbing tingle of Sichuan peppercorns. Essential to many Chinese dishes. Fresh ground in small batches to preserve those volatile spice notes.
Never expires! The date on your package is when your spice blend was made; however they never really go "bad." This product includes no anti-caking agents; if it begins to solidify simply massage the packet with your fingers.
