Atomic is a slicer tomato, which starts out with purple fruit that ripen to a varigated rainbow pattern. The more sunshine it receives, the more colors appear! You can check for ripeness by feel: If it's hard like a tennis ball, then it's not quite ripe yet. If it gives a little, then it's time to harvest.
